University Discussion Forums
Since 2008, we have facilitated University Discussion Forums (UDF) attended by over 100 delegates from more than 40 different universities. Staged at regional centres across the UK, the UDF is attended by our customers with responsibility for credit control, treasury management, SLC co-ordination and finance. The topics discussed have included:
- New border regulations for international students
- Action taken against accommodation debtors during the academic year
- The potential for bundling together tuition and accommodation fees
- Considering the discounting of fees to encourage payment
- Representatives from the Student Loans Company (SLC) and the Institute of Credit Management (ICM) have also attended to provide information on their support services to the universities
Feedback from delegates attending the UDFs has included:
“I would like to thank you for a most informative event yesterday – the location was excellent and lunch was much appreciated! It was most useful discussing a wide range of topics, and there were some good learning points which I have brought back with me”
“Just to say thank you for the lovely lunch and that we found the discussions very useful. We did pick up a couple of good working practices from the other Universities and look forward to attending the next forum”
Questionnaire feedback from London UDF 3rd June 2010.
